You will find here the answers to the most frequently asked questions about your stay at Nami House.

What time can I check-in?
Check-in times are 2pm-7pm.
In case you arrive outside of these hours, please contact us in advance so that we welcome you the best way. Otherwise, an extra €20 fee will be requested.
If I arrive before check-in time, is it possible to leave my luggage at the hostel while I explore the area?
Yes, of course! Before 2PM (but after 8:30am!), you can come to drop of your luggage in the sun room (or in your room if ready).
Can I check in after check-in time?
Yes. After 7PM, in case we are not there to welcome you, we will send you by email all the information needed to settle in the house upon arrival.
In case you arrive after 7PM, please contact us in advance so that we can organize your arrival. Otherwise, an extra €10 fee will be requested.
Please note that an extra 10€ fee will be requested in case of late check-in after 10pm.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is 10:30am. After this hour, guests are requested to leave the hostel in order we can make the beds and clean the house.
However, if you wish to enjoy Biarritz or Anglet beaches a bit longer, you can store your luggage in the sun room.
If you want to stay in the common areas (rooms must be vacated by 10:30am anyway), an extra 10€-fee will be requested.However, if you wish to enjoy Biarritz or Anglet beaches a bit longer, you can store your luggage in the sunroom.
Do you offer luggage storage?
Yes. Outside check-in and check-out hours, you can store your luggage in the sunroom and your valuables in the lockers at your disposal (please bring your own padlock!).
How can I reach Nami House and how long does it take to get there from Biarritz airport, Biarritz or Bayonne train/bus station?
In any case, you can reach us easily and within 30 minutes. For detailed information, please check our Contact & Access page.
Where can I park?
There’s no parking at Nami House, however you can easily and safely park for free in the street, by the hostel, all year round.
Please avoid parking by the opposite side of the road in front of Nami House since the parking places belong to the neighbour.
Do you accept families with children?
No, unfortunately not. Nami House is not suitable for families with children.
Do you accept minors under 18?
No. Unfortunately, unaccompanied minors are not accepted. Please contact us in advance if you have any further inquiries.
Do you accept group bookings?
No. Booking requests for groups of more than 4 people will not be accepted.
Can I stay at Nami House with my dog/cat/tiger?
No. Unfortunately, your pets are not welcome here.
How far is the closest beach and how can I get there from Nami House?
Closest beach (for both swimming, bodyboarding & surfing!) is within 15 min by foot or 5 min by bike (lucky you we do rent some, 7€/day, surf racks available). During the summer season, a free shuttle takes you to the beaches nearby.
Do you have planned events or activities?
Yes, we do! We often organize barbecue in the garden all year round and activities such as French boules (pétanque), beach volleyball…
We also participate to the various events taking place around during high season (concerts, festivals, open-air cinema, exhibitions, surf contests and many more!)
I would like to take surf lessons during my stay: do you have any surf school to recommend?
Yes, for sure! We’re working with surf school Anglet Surf Spirit down at the beach: they are both really good teachers and nice guys. Ask us a few days before arriving to book surf class with them. Check out here for more information!
I am walking the camino, how can I get to Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port?
First of all, congratulations! You can easily get there from Bayonne train station (25min by bus from here): it takes about 1h10 by train, several trains per day.
Do you have cooking facilities?
Yes! Nami House offers a large fully equipped modern kitchen to prepare your meals.
Kitchen usage between 10am-10:30pm.
Do you serve any special diet breakfast?
Not specifically. However, several vegetarian items are served.
Breakfast is offered and includes: hot drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate), juices, milk (including plant-based “milk”), French baguette with butter, honey and jam, cereals for breakfast and fresh fruits.
Guests following special diets such as vegan or gluten-free can pick up from what is offered, but we do not serve any special food.
Are bedsheets and towels included?
Bedding is fully provided free of charge (including bed sheets, duvet, pillow and extra blankets in case you get cold at night).
Both bath and beach towels are available for hire (3€/stay).
Do I need a padlock for the lockers?
Yes, please. Security lockers are available in the sun room. However, you’ll need to bring your own padlock.
What else do I need to bring?
You might consider bringing the following items: padlock, towel, shower gel/shampoo/soap, sunscreen…
Is it quiet at night?
Yes, it is. Nami House is definitely not a party hostel. We kindly ask our guests to be quiet after 11pm. After this hour, there are plenty of night bars to go out next to the beach or in Biarritz!
Is there a curfew?
No. Nevertheless, please consider other guests and neighbours at night especially (quiet time between 11pm-7am).
