We\u2019ve got plenty of board games<\/strong>, from Scrabble<\/strong> to Monopoly<\/strong> or Cluedo<\/strong>, through Les Myst\u00e8res de Pekin<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

Located in Biarritz<\/strong>,\u00a0Plan\u00e8te Mus\u00e9e du Chocolat<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0benefits from Bayonne<\/strong>‘s reputation as being chocolate capital of France<\/strong> to bring you in a tour to discover all about chocolate.<\/p>\n

At last, if you\u2019re interested in the ocean<\/strong> and have always dreamed of surfing Teahupoo<\/strong> or Pipeline<\/strong>, but like me you think that chances it ever gonna happen are pretty thin, you can try the City of the Ocean<\/strong>…<\/p>\n

The Ocean lover<\/em> option : the City of the Ocean<\/h2>\n

\"virtualThe City of the Ocean<\/a>\u00a0tells you all you have ever wanted to know about waves\u00a0<\/strong>: how they are created, how they move, why you\u2019ve got gigantic ones and tiny ones,\u00a0etc.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve got to see an astonishing 3D movie<\/strong> about submarine life<\/strong> directed by Michel Cousteau<\/strong> (son of famous sea explorer Jacques-Yves Cousteau<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

The highlight of the tour: virtual surf experience<\/h3>\n

Like our friend Ben, try the virtual surf experience<\/strong> !<\/p>\n

They give you a virtual reality mask<\/strong>, put you on a surf board<\/strong>, and here it goes: you get in the most famous waves in the world, trying to surf big barrels by moving your shoulders and your entire body leaning forward or backward.<\/p>\n

The experience is pretty amazing !<\/p>\n

What did we think about it ?<\/h3>\n

Let\u2019s say that the\u00a0City of the Ocean<\/strong>\u00a0is the kind of modern museum where there\u2019s not really any specific tour : you\u2019re passing through the rooms and find out about new experiences.<\/p>\n

Some might think it\u2019s getting a bit in every direction. From our point of view, we sometimes regretted a lack of instructions.<\/p>\n

For those of you who are really interested in the Oceans, it is a real\u00a0gem : you can even buy a special ticket for a 2-day entrance\u00a0<\/strong>!<\/p>\n

To conclude<\/h3>\n

The City of the Ocean is also the place where you have every Thursday night during summer a series of outdoor movies\/performances. You can picnic and enjoy the show on deckchairs.\u00a0This is where we\u2019ve seen the beautiful Odisea<\/strong> last year.<\/a><\/p>\n

How to get there from Nami House?<\/h3>\n

The best option is to take the bus n\u00b010 from “La Chapelle” bus stop in the direction of \u201cBiarritz Gare\u201d. There is a dedicated stop \u201cCit\u00e9 de l\u2019Oc\u00e9an\u201d.<\/p>\n
